Joseph Schmitt

Joseph is an Internal Consultant at DPL Financial Partners, where he partners with Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) to help them integrate commission-free annuities and insurance solutions into their practices. His focus is on supporting advisors in delivering more holistic, client-centric financial planning.

Originally from Des Moines, Iowa, Joseph earned his degree in Finance and Economics from Iowa State University. He began his career as a financial advisor with Northwestern Mutual, where he spent over six years building deep expertise in insurance and investment strategies. His transition to DPL was driven by a passion for innovation in the advisory space and a commitment to improving client outcomes through fiduciary-aligned solutions.

Joseph holds his Series 6, 63, and SIE licenses, along with North Carolina Life & Health Insurance Licenses.

Now based in Morrisville, North Carolina, Joseph enjoys spending time with his wife and their dog. He’s also an avid sports fan who rarely misses a game.
