We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated individual with an accounting background to join our firm. In this role, you will work with the Financial Planning & Analysis team and others to support the growth of our rapidly growing company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Accounting
- Enter and process expenses / disbursements timely and accurately.
- Record cash receipts and accounts receivable.
- Monthly processing of commissions.
- Record journal entries.
- Take ownership of cash planning.
- Prepare month end financial statements and package.
- Prepare external quarterly packages to executive team and external third parties.
- Perform ad-hoc analyses as requested.
- Assist in reporting & analyzing Budget to Actual.
- Assist in reporting & analyzing of Revenue.
- Participate in financial modeling and projections.
- Prepare and file local and state tax/registration forms and returns.
- Coordinate and communicate with external third-party accounting firm.
- Assist year-end audit and work with external accounting firm in preparation of year-end financial statements.
- Assist with tax return preparation as deemed necessary.
- Ad Hoc Reporting.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Compliance and Administrative
- Access insurance carrier portals and update information on weekly reports and Salesforce.
- Work with Operations team to ensure that Salesforce sales data reconciles with Carrier reports & QuickBooks.

Education and/or Experience
Best qualified candidates will possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance from accredited college or university.
- 2 to 4 years of accounting experience.
- High level of proficiency in Excel required.
- Experience in financial reporting, month end process and analyses.
- Experience in the financial services or insurance industry, a plus.
- Team player with excellent communication skills. Must be able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter, capable of working in conjunction with Financial Planning & Analysis team to meet all Financial Reporting requirements.
- CPA or is actively pursuing.
Computer Skills
Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel.
Experience with Salesforce, a plus
QuickBooks experience a big plus.
