Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – BNY Mellon WM, Participant Capital Advisors, Others

The latest senior moves in North American wealth management.

 

Participant
Participant Capital Advisors, a real estate investment firm working with wealth managers, has appointed property market veteran Bernard Wasserman as president. 

Prior to joining Participant, Wasserman was managing director, capital development at Virtus Real Estate Capital, where he was responsible for brokerage, family office and registered investment advisor relationships in the US, Latin America and Europe. Previously, he was director of investment product origination at Citigroup Global Markets and senior vice president, structured fund products at HSBC Securities (USA), among other roles.    

The firm was founded in 2011. Affiliated with Royal Palm Companies, which has developed more than 50 large-scale, mixed-use projects for more than 40 years, Participant Capital provides wealth managers with access to preferred equity, project, and fund investment opportunities. 

Titan Wealth
Titan Wealth Holdings is pleased to announce that Tom Wooders has been appointed group head of sales, responsible for sales across Titan Wealth’s business. 

Bringing nearly 20 of sales expertise in the financial services industry, Wooders will be responsible for managing all business origination and commercial proposition development across the full range of Titan Wealth’s businesses; Titan Asset Management, Titan Wealth Solutions, Titan Platform and GPP Clearing, it said in a statement. 

Previously head of sales at Titan Wealth Solutions and GPP, Wooders has managed sales and relationships across a range of institutional clients including wealth and asset managers, advisory firms and funds distributors, private banks and family offices, plus institutional and private client brokers.

Prior to joining Titan Wealth, Wooders worked at State Street’s Strategic Solutions where he was responsible for new business development across State Street Global Services, Global Markets and Global Exchange business lines. Before this, he spent seven years at JP Morgan, working as an executive director within its markets and investor services division. Wooders was also previously UK head of sales at Pershing and sales director at Broadridge.

DPL Financial Partners
DPL Financial Partners, a turnkey insurance platform for registered investment advisors, has appointed Tiburon Strategic Advisors and Tiburon CEO Summits founder and managing partner Chip Roame to join its board of directors.

Roame also serves as a member of the board of directors at Edelman Financial Engines, Facet Wealth, Allspring Global Investors, Lefteris Acquisition Corporation, and was formerly vice chairman of Envestnet. He will become the second independent, and fifth overall, member of DPL’s board, joining Lau, David Smilow, and appointees from investors Eldridge and Atlas Merchant Capital.

BNY Mellon Wealth Management
BNY Mellon Wealth Management has added two figures to its Seattle office: Patrick Burke as senior private banker and Ben Kalman as senior wealth manager. 

Burke reports to Gary Lutz, regional director, West Region private banking and Kalman reports to Bo Lee, wealth management, team leader.

“Seattle is a prime growth market for adding new talent to our private banking franchise with thriving tech companies and a healthy housing market,” Lutz said. “Ben and Patrick bring impressive credentials to support our efforts to further grow and provide a full team of wealth management professionals to support the diverse needs of our Seattle and Puget Sound region clients as we work to deliver our active wealth framework.”

Burke will work with new and existing high net worth and ultra-HNW clients to develop and implement a strategic plan for managing credit and treasury management solutions.

With 20 years of financial services experience, Burke previously worked at Wells Fargo Private Bank, where he served as a senior private banker. Prior to that, he worked at KeyBank, US Bank and Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. Kalman, who has 15 years’ wealth management experience, was previously a vice president at Tiedemann Advisors. Prior to that, Kalman served in various capacities at Laird Norton Wealth Management, City of Seattle and Charles Schwab Investment Management.
